Watermelon Splitting or スイカ割り is a traditional Japanese game that involves splitting a watermelon with a stick while blindfolded. Played in the summertime, suikawari is most often seen at beaches, but also occurs at festivals, picnics, and other summer events (from Wikipedia).
The children gave their best to split the watermelon. They have four options, either to use a samurai, baseball bat, sword, or Anpanman hammer. Most of our RMBL chose the samurai, of course (^ ^).
